Young Justice: Aftermath is a 6 episode continuation of Young Justice: Invasion, and is succeeded by Young Justice: Darkside.

Major Plot LinesEdit

  • After effects of the Invasion of the Reach and the death of Wally West (Kid Flash I)
  • Savage has gone to his master, Darkseid, who now has his attention set for Earth.
  • Aqualad is reinstated as team leader, while Nightwing has gone off mission for a while.
  • Impulse has taken the mantle of Kid Flash in honour of his first cousin, while Artemis rejoins the team under Tigress.
  • Static is an official part of the team.
  • A new metahuman is discovered and is given the codename Adamant.
  • Lex Luthor is instated as Secretary-General of the UN, and former members of the Light are instated within the UN as well.
  • Mount Justice Base is being rebuilt, with a cloaking device disguised as the former mountain. Meanwhile, the Young Justice base is moved to the Watchtower

Reminiscing over victory over the Reach and the death of Kid Flash, the Young Justice have moved into the Watchtower as the Justice League go covert. Meanwhile teams are dispatched to flush out the last of the Reach forces that have remained on Earth.

A last reach sunject is uncovered and suffers from uncontrollable side effects that unwittingly go on a rampage into Happy Harbour. The team do all they can to stop his rampage, until they discover his reactive adaptation abilities counteracting their own powers. With Nightwing, Robin, Tigress, Batgirl and Guardian doing what they can, many members are forced to fight while unable to use their superhuman abilities in order to stop Adamant.

Having being accepted as a member of the team, Adamant is feeling left out due to many not trusting his abilities. But as luck would have it, he is sent with Gamma to protect the fifteen year old queen of Vlatava during her coronation, and there is a lot more than originally seen.

In a post apocalyptic future of 2056, Wally rematerializes to find that Bart Allen's future is not all that was suppose to be. The Reach are no longer a threat, but with help from aging Green Lantern, Kyle Rayner and a depowered Neutron, Wally attempts to rebuild his realtives time machine without his speed in order to warn his friends of the Apokolips threat.

Arsenal is sick of living a dual life alongside Red Arrow, and the final straw is dealt when he realizes that so long as Red Arrow holds all his papers, Red Arrow is technically the real Roy Harper. Despite earlier objections, he comes to the conclusion that only one of them can be Roy Harper, and settles on a death match with his clone.

War World returns to Earth, but worse still, Darkseid has come with it. With the Justice League attempting to stop the war world, Darkseid sends down his warriors to attack a defenseless Earth. Worse still, he sends his champion, Doomsday, to get rid of the Young Justice team, leading to an all out brawl with Nightwing, Superboy, Miss Martian, Wondergirl, Beast Boy, Blue Beetle III, Kid Flash II and Adamant. But Darkseid cannot allow his champion to be defeated, so someone has to die.
